Send a message to the CRTC: STAND UP TO THE BIG THREE!
No one likes it when the ref blows a call that ends up deciding the winner of a big game.
That’s what the Canadian Radio-Television Council (CRTC) did by upholding rules that make it easier for Telus, Bell and Rogers - the Big Three - to get bigger at the expense of competitors across Canada.
The CRTC has a critical job in making sure that sustainable telecom competition has a fighting chance. It’s time to tell them to stand up to the Big Three.
In the fight for telecom choice, the CRTC is taking sides, and it’s not yours.
So what’s going on? Instead of looking out for small competitors, the CRTC favours the Big Three. They're allowing them to exploit a regulation loophole to access networks built and paid for by Canada’s small, locally owned regional telecom providers.
Regional carriers employ thousands of people and invest billions of dollars to offer more affordable and better internet choices, but they need the CRTC to prevent the Big Three from misusing regulations meant to help smaller players. If the Big Three want to compete against smaller players in a region, they can and should invest to build the network.
Join us and STAND UP TO THE BIG THREE!
Canadians deserve real choice and affordable options. The CRTC needs to abandon its alliance with the Big Three and instead side with Canadians. Learn how regulatory changes could affect your internet service, discover why regional competitors matter, and add your voice to the growing movement for affordable, accessible internet for all Canadians.
Together, we must ensure Canada's digital future serves everyone, not just the Big Three.
